Dormitory ProgramThe Dormitory Program, which includes dormitories for boys and girls, is designed to provide a loving, supportive, orderly environment with special opportunities for academic cultural and spiritual growth. This pioneering project is believed to be one of the first of its kind in the U.S. The program is based on a smaller program developed by the school which served five children for six years. That smaller program served as a model for our two dormitories for 14 girls and for 14 boys. Each dorm has Christian house parents and community volunteers serving as role models for the children.
Photo: Girls' Dormitory Because of the confidence that the Assisi Foundation, Ernest Williams and his brother David, the Golightly Trust, and Mary and John Dicken had in the value of the boarding program to be the agent of change in the lives of children who thought they had no hope, the girls and boys dormitory is a reality. It is a totally unique approach for reaching children who are so easily get lost in today’s culture.
